The games/cards group meets in Enfield Town on 3rd Thursday of the month at 2 - 5pm. We can have one table for 8 for free but are expected to buy a drink.
We play Rummikub which is a tiles game collecting sets or runs based on rummy.
For cards we play Kalooki which is a similar idea and played with 2 packs of cards but the rules are different. Both are max of 4 players so we normally split into two groups.
We also have 2 small card games, one called Five Crowns which again is based on rummy but has 5 suites - you start with 3 cards a round and build up to 13, scoring each round. The other card game is Quiddler which is a word game. You are dealt cards with letters on, starting with 3 and building up to 10 and you try to make words of at least 2 letters. Up to 8 players for these 2 games so we occasionally all play together.
All these games are popular and easy to pick up. Many members past and present have bought them for their families to play.
