Enfield

Welcome

Enfield u3a was formed in 1994 and has a membership of over 300 people. There is no waiting list and new members are very welcome.

Where and when do we meet? Monthly meetings are held at the Revival Christian Church on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. The address is 47 London Road, Enfield EN2 6DS. This new venue is near the Dugdale Arts Centre.
Doors open at 1.30pm when tea will be served. Meetings start at 2.30pm prompt.

What do we do? At our monthly meetings the Chairman updates us with the latest news and introduces our speaker for the day. Please see our Events page for news of forthcoming speakers. Outings and visits are arranged throughout the year and there are a wide variety of study and interest groups which meet on a regular basis.

What do we offer?
LEARN - Keep your mind and body active by learning with others or offering your own skills and knowledge to share with them.
LAUGH - Learning can be fun. Gain enjoyment from companionship with others. Make new friends and enjoy an active social life.
LIVE - Enlarge your horizons by getting out of the house and meeting others.

Can I come as a visitor? Visitors are welcome to attend up to two meetings on payment of a £2 fee per meeting.

How do I join? Please use the General enquiries form to e-mail our Membership Secretary so that we can contact you, or just come along to one of our meetings as a visitor or join on the day. When you come to our meeting one of our Welcomers will meet you, answer any of your questions and introduce you to other people. From time to time we hold coffee mornings for new members to help you get to know others and find out more about us.

What does it cost? The annual subscription is £20, which covers administration costs and an affiliation fee to the Third Age Trust, a Registered Charity that looks after the interests of all the local u3as in this country. It entitles members to come to monthly meetings, take part in any of the interest groups and receive our quarterly newsletter. In addition, the Third Age Trust sends all members a quarterly u3a News and Sources magazine.
