CHAMPAGNE BREAKFASTS and FLYING PIGS by Neil Hanson

Event type: Meeting
Date: 12th August 2026
Time: 2:30 pm

Neil is well known for his humourous talks "Inn and Out at the Top (about his time running Britain's highest inn) and "The Ghostwriter" (about his day job writing other people's books for them) both of which we have enjoyed but before he became a full time writer he also had a multitude of other jobs and has now added a third talk to his repetoire.
CHAMPAGNE BREAKFASTS and FLYING PIGS draws on many more curious characters and tales of high life and low life. It includes a one hit wonder with a surprising use for false teeth, a chef's unusual technique for tenderising steak, a thespian piglet, a booze up in a brewery, how to flog a dead horse and how to survive on a diet of beer and pot noodles.
It's all strange but true and very funny.
