This group is a forum for sharing our knowledge of history as is also a friendship group. We meet on the second Monday of each month except in August. We meet from 2 till 4pm in a local church hall.
Recent topics have included war poetry, the League of Nations, the history of lace-making, history of Ireland and Wales, the Suffragette Movement, Anglo-Saxon England, the inter-war period in Britain and the history of London.  Talks are usually accompanied by visual images; either using PowerPoint or paper images.
We charge a small fee to cover the cost of the hire of the room and refreshments.
There are usually around 18 people who attend each session and as we have a large room, there is space for newcomers.
