My name is Mike and I run the Scrabble 2 group which meets on the first Wednesday of every month at a local pub. We play for a couple of hours per session between 2.30 and 4.30pm and usually manage to play 2 games per session.  

For those of you who are not acquainted with the game,  Scrabble is a word game played by 2 to 4 players, on a board divided into a 15x15 grid of squares. The object of the game is to score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter associated with a particular score, onto the board to forms words that read from left to right in rows or downward in columns. Each word will add up to a particular total score for that word and the winner is the one who obtains the highest overall score throughout the game.

It can be played at various levels and the members of the group are at different levels, so it doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or a grand master, everyone  is welcome. We play only for fun.

The pub is easy to get to and is always very quiet so we can enjoy the game without any disturbances. We also do not have to pay the pub for the use of the tables we use, so there is no fee to pay. Come along and try us out.
